| I am alive and kicking, hopefully soon I will get a new computer so I don't have to function at a snails pace. Tons of snow and cold, good time to read and quilt between work and keeping house. Will see grandkids soon as we venture to the annual Sault 500 snowmobile ice race. Stop by for a scrabble game, I'll keep the kettle on.  | | |
| I'm finally updating, much has happened, daughter is now married, had a beautiful wedding, gained a great son-in-law, one more to go. Brock will be home for a couple weeks in August unless things change, I am working again and loving it, the stress level is zero, quite the opposite of real estate. The grandkids are getting big and hope to see them more this summer. Levi and Amanda now have a licenced day care and that keep them on their toes. Well my neglected garden is calling me, hope you can stop by and comment, if anyone is on their way to Mackinac, stop in and see us! | | |
| I'm finally updating, my children have reminded me. Well I am home recooperating from surgery, thought I would get it done before Harm's wedding. I know what you are thinking, " Is it cosmetic? Can Melody be feeling old? Is she trying to outshine her daughter on her special day?" The answer is a resounding ," NO"! Let's just say I can't have children anymore or wear a bikini. Ha. Brock is serving in Afghanistan now, he is gunner on the lead humvee, please keep him in your prayers, his sweet girlfriend, Ashlie, helped Harm and me make wedding invitations Sunday, then Harm drove home in a bad snowstorm. Glad she has 4 wheel drive now. I won't be able to drive for another week to 10 days, getting cabin fever at home, already has been 2 1/2 weeks, but Cal is spoiling me along with the church ladies. Grandkids came to visit before I had surgery so we could rough house and play, they are such sweeties. Looking forward to our daughter's wedding and our son's return. Write me a comment if you can or stop by for a visit and scrabble game, I have a chair next to the window waiting for any sign of company. | | |

It looks like Christmas now, lots of snow and the hum of snowmobilers going by. Just finishing my festive decorating. I like to change the look each year (actually I forget what I've done the year before so it's easy) We put the tv on another wall in the great room, sounds easy right? Actually it took Cal and an electrican 2 1/2 hours to do it. The previous wiring ran thru the 2nd story so we had to wire from scratch, thru the garage attic down thru the basement, up thru the floor and finally it is done. But I love the change and rearranging of furniture. Lots of exciting news, Harm is engaged, Aaron survived asking Cal for his permission, I thought all the guns and Cal's stern look would have scared him off ( all the others ran for the hills ) Brock will be home for almost 3 weeks before a year deployment, it will be great having him home. The grandkids are just as cute and fun as ever, Lily was dedicated last week and was as good as gold. Church projects are keeping us busy along with preparing for the Bedtelyon Christmas with about 30 at my home. Please take time to enjoy this Blessed Season. | | |
